School Days are Here! Now what do we do with our preschoolers?
It’s that time of year again when moms can breathe that sigh of relief! It’s time to send the kids back to school!

After a summer of coming up with fun and creative things to keep your school-aged kids occupied, finally it’s in someone else’s hands. But sometimes the pre-school little ones are left behind and feel left out as their big brothers and sisters go off to school and return home excited about all the neat, new things they have learned and done at school.
Keeping the half-day kindergartners and Pre-K tots in the loop can be a challenge, but there are always great activities and learning exercises you can give to your pre-schoolers to keep them busy and prepare them for the day when they finally get to ride the big yellow bus.
Leave a comment about your favorite activity or learning exercise and help out other moms and dads!
In addition to helping your fellow parents, the most creative idea will win one of Brighter Minds Media’s 30 A Day Learning System books! You can even check out these great activity books offer by visiting www.30aday.com!
Once you have decided which would best suit your tot, go to www.brightermindsmedia.com and check out what each book has to offer!

school days contest
My kids like to make up stories and act them out in "plays". They can spend the entire afternoon "writing" the story, working out the plot, deciding on costumes and props and then putting on the show for their dad and I. I love to encourage them by making sure we have plenty of dress up clothes and stuff they can use.
School Days!
cool whip or whipped cream on a table...spread all around...and write with fingers!
so much learning so little time
this prize will fit perfectly into our already hectic schedule as my older son starts pre-school next week
Great Prize
My daughter practices her letters starting with A and then I will write out some words for each letter and she will copy the words on her paper. We find this is great practice for her. This is a great prize, my daughter will be starting 1st grade and this would be a perfect workbook for her to improve her skills. Thanks for the opportunity!
"Keeping Preschoolers Active and Leaning!"
Hello, When he isn't in preschool, my son helps his older brother count and rubber band the newspapers for his route. We also go to the park to feed the ducks and geese. We attempt to count the ducks and the geese separately! Not always an easy job! I still try to get a rest time in , so we read together and nap. Please enter me in your delightful giveaway drawing. I appreciate it!
Many thanks, Cindi

I search at garage sales during the summer for reading and activity books and also the library is close and offer so many good programs for young children-we love going there
Nature Walks
We spend allot of time outside anyways, so I print off a list of insects and wildlife and identify them to the kids and give them a chance to identify them themselves.
Telling time wherever we go
Telling time wherever we go for practice :)
Cooking Time
Teaching your kids to cook is always fun.
Prepare something really sample like a fruit snack, sandwiches, or just cracker and cheese.
Have kids put the food together themselves.
Not only they would love the food they make themselves, they also learn hand coordination and how to work in a team (with mom or siblings).

Being a "shopping helper" is
Being a "shopping helper" is always fun. Depending on age the child can have certain tasks at the store like comparing sizes on boxes, choosing the "blue" package, etc. Shopping takes a bit longer, but it's worth it.
Parental Support
Yes, we, the parents need each others support. I live across from the school so I offer a safe haven for the kids walking to school.
Fun learning
I find learning through play is always best-we always play I spy when out and about, but my favorite is field trip day, while everyone else is at school we take weekly field trips, to our children's museum, aquariums, beach days, park days, visiting farms, all kinds of things, Then he feels he's been on a real field trip and he's learned a lot and we both have had lots of fun. We'd love to win the 30 minutes a day Pre-K book
