PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE (the "Site"). This Site at brighter-contest.com is fully controlled and operated by Brighter Minds Media, LLC ("Brighter Minds"). By accessing and using this Site, you are hereby agreeing to be legally bound by the terms and conditions of Brighter Minds. If you do not agree with all of the following terms and conditions, please do not use this Site.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify or otherwise alter these terms and conditions at any time. Such changes and/or modifications shall become effective immediately upon the posting thereof. Please review the terms and conditions periodically. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of changes and/or modifications will constitute your acceptance of the revised terms and conditions.

HOW TO ENTER

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. To enter, complete the standard online registration form, including supplemental materials when necessary. If you have already registered then you are automatically entered into the contest. To be eligible, entries must be complete and received on or before 12:00:01 AM (EST) on the closing date of the contest. Incomplete or late entries will not be considered. All entries shall become the property of Brighter Minds. Entries received by phone, fax, courier or postal delivery will not be accepted. Limit: one (1) entry per person.

To enter the contests, contestants must:

  1. Register at www.brighter-contest.com by providing the following personal information on the designated form (this information is subject to the Privacy Policy of Brighter Minds):
    1. Name
    2. Age
    3. Mailing address
    4. Email address
    5. Contact phone
  2. Visit each of the partnering websites as designated before the close of the contest at 12:00:01 AM (EST) September 21, 2007. Contestants must locate the clues on each site and click on them. Cookies must be enabled. The "clues" will embed a cookie that can be detected by www.brighter-contest.com. Once all "clues" have been found, contestant will be automatically entered in the contest. There will also be an optional, manual entry form that can be completed.

ENTRY PERIOD

The "Nancy Drew® and the Search for the Web Clue Contest"? commences at 12:00:01 AM (EST) on September 4, 2007 and ends at 12:00:01 AM (EST) on September 21, 2007. Between September 4 and September 17, entrants must locate clues on partnering websites. All entries must be received between 12:00:01 AM (EST) September 17 and 12:00:01 AM (EST) September 21, 2007.

CONTEST RULES

  1. The monthly contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Employees of Brighter Minds and their immediate family members and persons with whom such employees are domiciled are excluded from the contest.
  2. By entering the contest, the winner authorizes the use, without additional compensation, of his or her name and/or photograph and/or contest submission and state or province of residence for promotion and/or advertising purchases in any manner and in any medium (including without limitation, radio broadcasts, newspapers and other publications and in television or film releases, slides, videotapes, distribution over the internet and picture date storage) which Brighter Minds deems appropriate.
  3. The prize is not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded. Brighter Minds retains the rights, in its absolute and sole discretion, to make substitutions of equivalent kind or approximate value in the event of the unavailability of any prize or component of the prize for any reason whatsoever.
  4. Decisions of the contest judges are final.
  5. In accepting the prize, the winner acknowledges that Brighter Minds may not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using the prize.
  6. This contest is subject to all federal, state, and local laws.
  7. Prize includes assorted Nancy Drew® merchandise. Prize is valued at $120.00 USD.
  8. Winners will be chosen at random from the list of eligible applicants. Winners will be notified via e-mail shortly after the entry deadline has ended. If winner does not respond to e-mail within five (5) days of first notification, a new winner will be selected. Brighter Minds Media is not responsible for e-mail not received by the recipient or Brighter Minds. Prizes will be sent by mail within two weeks of notification.
